About Us

The Lab Baseball Performance is a private softball and baseball training facility founded and located in Bakersfield, California. We strive and pride ourselves of being the premier baseball and softball performance center helping athletes develop their physical and mental skills on the field. We realize that player development is more than developing a young athlete’s skills on the field, but also developing their character and mentality to give them success in their playing career and beyond. Our mission is to be a positive influence in the community and help all athlete’s in the area realize their potential and achieve their goals. 

We are founded by Xabier Iparraguire, a Bakersfield native, who played at Bakersfield College, Chico State, and professional baseball in the LMB of Mexico and the Independent Leagues of the US. During the last few years of playing he began coaching, giving private instruction and helping out at local highschools in the offseason. He found that his true passion had shifted from playing the game to coaching it, when he realized that he could have an impact on countless kids and help give them an opportunity to achieve their dreams and goals. That is when he decided to go full time into player development and The Lab Baseball Performance was founded.
